When I start the phone, there are more than 300MB RAM free, but whith use (I use at most the same 4-5 apps, never at the same time) it goes downing, and in less than 24 hours, the free RAM is under 100 MB.
The problem is that I can't free manually the RAM because settings/apps/executing says there is 750+MB using and 80- free, but the sum of the apps usage in that screen is at most 200MB, not 750+, and it doesn't matter I force close apps, the total usage doesn't barely down.
So, the only solution is to restart the terminal every 24- hours.
Is this normal?
Android uses RAM differently,it does need restarting regularly but the way it manages RAM is different. It will free up RAM when needed and works better with more RAM used.
Before this Xperia SP, I've owned another android phone since years, and my family own others, and they never needed restarting due to this problem with the RAM.
And my Xperia sp DOESN'T free up RAM when needed as you said. It just go down and down and down, and when it is around 50MB, some apps in the settings/apps/in execution menu appears as "restarting" or something similar (I don't know how it says in English because I use Spanish), but that "restarting" messages don't change, and the RAM continues downing with as time passes, and when it is very very low (less than 5MB), the phone resboot on its own.
There are many apps preinstalled on the SP,which start by themselves. If you force close them, they will restart.
This coz our Phone's Inbuilt Android Apps like Sony live, Facebook, Gmail, etc apps Always running in backround and Eating Ram, Jus Disable un used Apps in Settings >> Apps >> All Applications >> Disable.
Also get the recent Update .205, Which users get more user Ram ( around 850 Mb) So u can Possibly have Around 250 MB free .
