XPERIA SP motherboard

Dear sir

i was buy a Sony Xperia SP on 14/05/2013.

after one year i was facing problem regarding handset charging then I go to sony service centre at Vijaywada.

Sony service centre checked my handset and told me that your hand motherboard problem it is necessary to be change .

I have not any physical damage and liquid damage in my phone then why I am facing this type majeure issue .service centre told me motherboard replacement charge 5000 INR.

I was invest 26000 INR for buy this handset with a good brand name SONY  for a good performance and low maintenance charge, why people faith your brand name after this type issue.

Sony only give us one year warranty I know I am outside from this but is not fair for this type majeure issue, its totally manufacturing issue, I am invest my money a big brand name mobile maker only for consumer durable and reliability with this brand otherwise many brand in Indian market only 1/3 price of this and same specification.

I think you are understand my problem.so I want to you take necessary action for this issue and help me because I am not to able invest again this handset a lot of money.

Sony will do nothing for You, rules are the same for everyone.

If you took it to a Sony repair centre you should have a report explaining the fault, if the fault was down to an internal component failure and wasnt introduced by an outside influence then you need to go through the correct complaints procedure and push Sony for a free repair or replacement handset. I've had this scenario with a 30month old x10i, Sony wouldnt budge and wanted me to pay to repair it, which in effect meant replacing the device, after exhausting all avenues and taking free legal advice i then instructed a trade ombudsman to take up my case wiv Sony on my behalf. He contacted them once and they contacted me within 10 days and promptly offered a like for like replacement which meant getting the top of the range Xperia because they x10i was discontinued. In a nutshell : the expected life of anything you buy should last somewhere around average and in tandem with the price you pay for it, despite warranty and guarantees, it's called ' fair trade' and works for both partys. Ps. It took almost 4 months from start to finish, good luck
