Xperia SP - lag and keyboard loading issues

I've had my SP about two months, and I'm having a few troubles with it.

Sometimes when wanting to type (i.e. texting, surfing the web etc) when I tap in a text box, the cursor sits there and flashes, but the keyboard does not load, leaving me unable to type anything.

I'm suffering from quite a bit of lag too. I've moved everything I can onto the memory card to free up space in the handset's internal memory. I have ony about half a dozen photos, and two or three apps. I'm concerned that once I actualy start to USE the phone.. more apps and taking pictures, it's just going to get worse.

Can anyone help with either of these problems?

this problem mostly occure when using chrome?right?

do you update your phone to 4.3?if not do it

if dont want to update perform software repair via SUS

but beware all of your data on internall storage will gone..so back it up first

I've seen people mention upgrading to 4.3 but I know nothing about this. Is that upgrading my Jelly Bean? I appear to currently be running 4.1.2... I see a lot of issues that seem to have arisen from upgrading.

Maybe you can expain to me about the software repair you mention. What is SUS and how would I do it?

you can download SUS from here

install it

first of all let your phone to charge over 70%

then turn your phone off

run SUS and floow on screen instruction...after SUS connect to youyr phone it will check if software update is avlable for you

if yes then you have 2 options update to the latest se(recommended) and reinstall current firmware

its up to you to repair or updat..but i say update it

yes it upgrade your jelly bean from 4.1.2 to 4.3 thats a major update

i have updated to 4.3 but have not major problem..some minors that will fixed by 3rd party apps or will fixed on oncoming update

rebdim, did upgrade fix your keyboard issue?  For me, this issue started after I updated to 4.3 (12.1.A.1.201), so not sure that will help you / will have helped you...

I have replaced the Sony keyboard app with the Google 3.0 keyboard and it's quite fast and responsive.

Now I only have to fix the lag in the phone app, the messages app, ...

4.3 is terrible, at times unuseable ...

 Madp01, how did you get Google keyboard 3.0? When i search it on Google Play it tells me it's not compatible with 4.3...

This problem has nothing to do with 4.3 update. It occurs due to low ram. I've faced this in 4.1, 4.3 actually fixed it for me.
