Xperia SP email

Occasionally my SP tells me that I have emails waiting but when I go to the inbox there are no mails there. It's not that they are in my other email account. I check that. They are all supposed to be in my default account. I can clear things by cancelling my main email account and then reinstalling as a new account. It's more an annoyance than anything but I'd be grateful if someone could tell me how to get rid of the problem for good.  Thanks

There's an issue (a problem frankly speaking) with Sony mail client on 4.3 (no matter a device model). Only you can do (as they're not gonna update to KK) is installing google mail client (email.apk/exchange2.apk). It doesn't need root.

I don't know why, Sony is not interested in resolving the problem....
