XPERIA SP EMAIL VIEWING

Since updating to 4.3, I now find that my email widget informs me that I have mail.  When I click on the email icon at the bottom of the screen my Inbox is displayed and the number of new emails is indicated by a number at the top right of the screen.

The Problem: I cannot see the emails in my Inbox...I have tried refreshing to no avail.  To open the emails I have to tap on the widget screen and the emails will (sometimes) open one at a time.   A long and frustrating process.

My email worked perfectly before upgrading to 4.3.

Very grateful for any advice.

Hotmail? Gmail account?

Neither...I am using the 'phone default email.

Options --> apps --> gmail --> uninstall updates and clear data

Restart phone

Phone default email means the app called email.So go to settings-apps-all-email,force stop and clear data.

Thank you for your advice.  I carried out your instruction but alas, the situation remains the same; I cannot see my emails in my Inbox unless I go through them one at a time via the email widget..a peculiar affair.  Bring on KitKat!!

Did you try to boot the phone in safe mode?
