xperia sp charging problem

from yesterday i am unable to charge my xperial sp i have tried with other chargers as well as connecting it with pc usb but it will not charge now just 11% battery. Can a phone reset help solve the problem or should i take him to a doctor ? sony service station. The camera quality i am not satisfied under low light and the video recording is also ok. I was a lover of sony i have used k810 i and other great sony products but this time the charging problem is too much. Right now its not charging at all. So someone plz suggest what to do.I have read somewhere of pressing the power button and the volume button simultaneously until a vibrate but nothing happnens. Only mobile is taking of screenshot by itself. So plz suggest what to do

I've been having the same problem, intermittent connection issue using any charging method or connecting to PC.  I had the device for three weeks before having to send it off for repair under warranty.  EE (ex Orange in the UK) had it for a month before it was returned and it still had the same issue (I think all they did was a reset).  Just returned it again for repair and will see what happens.  EE were unwilling to replace the device as I do not have insurance, just warranty.

Try unplugging it and plugging it again repeatedly and quickly for a few times.  Also I tried distracting it with a few tasks and sneaking up on it and sticking the lead in when it wasn't paying attention, but it was too quick for me.

My Sony Xperia SP (now about 18 months old) has just started experiencing an 'intermittent' charging problem, so at points, it refuses to charge, sometimes until the battery is completely flat (so effectively useless).  Does anyone have advice for me?  I could try a factory reset but it would take some time to 'recover' from that.  For info, it is upgraded to the latest software available in the UK for EE (Orange / t-mobile) network (I would tell you the level, but I can't turn on the phone to check it!!!).  Thanks.
