I paired the Xperia SP (on Tesco Mobile) with my 5 Series BMW (pre 2010) and it looked to be ok as the tel numbers and names from the phone's address book were all visible.
I chose a number from the car system and pressed dial. There was no audio from the car system but I did notice that the SP was dialling the number and the sound was also active on it. I tried to cancel the call on the hands free but it didn't respond and I could see that the Bluetooth had disconnected. So it initiates the call then cuts off. The car system then shows its looking for bluetooth devices. Similar thing when receiving calls. Cuts out as soon as I press answer.
If I turn the ignition off and on it connects again with no problem.
Thinking it may be a compatibility problem due to different Bluetooth versions, I tried the same with my wife's Galaxy S4. It works perfectly!
Any ideas as to what the problem is with the Xperia SP? Need urgent assistance as I only have a short time left to return it.
