Xperia Sola Touch Screen Problems

hey everyone

i have been using xperia P for a year now and have had no major issues with it and so i also bought xperia sola cuz i was impressed with the performance of sony...
but for the last month i have been noting issues with the xperia sola touchscreen... tht it does not respond to my touch input and thus it causes alot of frustration... and the frequency of this issue has been getting worse...
i have tried re-installing the software multiple times but the issues are still present...
does anyone else have the same issues?... anyone know how to fix this?

plz reply urgently n asap...

Do you experience any difference if enable/disable glove mode under settings > display? 

Otherwise it seems like you should have your phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local support team for more information:

Thank you Alexander for your kind reply...

but unfortunately there is no difference by turning on or off the glove mode in the display settings...
and there is no local support team of sony in Pakistan region that i could find...

my sola is running ICS with the firmware: 6.1.1.B.1.54...

and according to PTCRB, the firmware 6.1.1.B.1.89 should be available since Jan 2013...

now i dont know if sony is aware of these bug issues n plans to develop a fix... but it is highly needed...

so any more advice or tips for me?

I have the same problem... unfortunately I am in the limited warranty period already.... I tried reflashing the software, removing the screen protector... nothing worked. My whole notification bar area is unresponsive. I am really looking forward to wait a lot of weeks to get my phone repaired/replaced/refund... IF they will try to repair it... I bought the phone from a service provider, I am afraid they will just go "deal with it" and send me to a better place... 

It seems a lot of people having this problem... and no recall or any official announcement... I am sad
