I'm really down with the Xperia SL camera since it produces yellowish and a lot of noise when taking indoor or low light photo. It is really ashame while Galaxy SIII or Iphone 5 has only 8 mega camera but produce great image. It doesn't matter if you just say that for SL price, you should get lower quality than the Korean and America company, but you should not boast with your 12 mega camera. It is only the number, not the real quality. Thus, will Sony fix this if it is just a software bug? Or will this problem disappear after Jelly Bean update? I used to admire Sony's camera quality when i saw my friend use Satio. I hope the Sony 2013 flagship handsets will be better or i will not trust the company anymore.
if the pictures are yellowish indoors change the settings to manual and adjust the white balance to perhaps Incandescent
is Sony spying on users in this forum?

Every sensor will produce noise in low light and generally the higher the pixel count the worse it is due to the higher density of photocells and leakage as the current increases.
My 40D is 10MP, my 50D is 15MP and both have the same sensor size and both are made by Canon. The 40D gives much cleaner images shooting raw in low light, the 50D is terrible at it.
Use neatimage if it troubles you.
Hi,
I too was very disappointed with the camera of my Sony Xperia SL.
Here's what worked for me for pictures indoors(night):
1)increased exposure value to +1
2)white balance to incandescent
3)turned off the flash( it gives a bluish tint and kills the picture)
4)set the resolution to 2M 1632x1224(4:3)
hope it works for you.
same prob...
camera capturing is very blurry in low light
