My phone intermittently shuts down couple of times in a day. It has Jellybean 4.1.2 on it. It says something like "phone is overheating and needs to power off" but the phone is not hot at that time or used heavily. I am also not using 3g or wifi at that time. I have tried uninstalling any new installed applications and repairing the software using update service but it did not work. I have even tried running the phone in safe mode. The issue was also observed while charging so battery related causes can be ruled out.
The weird thing is that when the phone is actually hot, it does not shutdown.
I do not want to take it to the service center because they will sit on it 15 days and still not fix it. Please help.
Unfortunately whilst I understand your concern I can only advise that it is sent into an authorised repair agent sorry.

Having this problem after update to 6.2.B.1.96
The phone shut down itself due to over heat, and I touched the phone is not hot at all.
The phone can shut down 3 times in 10 minutes after I restart the phone, the phone never having this problem before update to this firmware.
It can happen even the phone in standby mode, in the middle of taking picture, browsing, try to make calls.
