xperia sk17a battery problem

my phone shut down when battery level become 70%

recently im update mi sk17a android to 4.0.4 and i have a problem the cellphone shut down when te battery  reaches 70% i need help!!!!

i need a new battery or is a bug? i cant fix this?

Re-install the latest update with SUS or PCC, if that doesn't work then it might be a hardware issue, either a faulty battery or something else

Hi there,

Try the following:

When the battery level reaches 50% turn off the phone and remove the battery for a few minutes > Put it back in and connect the phone to a wall charger (do not switch the phone) > Charge your battery overnight > After that turn it on and check if the problem persists.

Let us know the results.

the battery does not reach the 50% only 70% and then turn off

im backup android to 2.3.4 and the problem is the same

That seems to be a hardware issue

Stop by your local Sony or get a new battery and test your phone
