xperia S won't turn on after update

Hi, l uploaded the updates, now my phone will only turn on via the usb cable. l've tried the turn on and volume button but nothing seems to work.  All ideas are welcome. thx

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Sorry to hear about your phone. Try to charge your phone for a couple of hours and then try to press and hold the power button and volume up at the same time until the phone vibrates. 

If that doesn't help I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion: 

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".
