I've tried everything from rebooting & reinstalling but to no avail - i keep getting the "could not connect" message
my computer is running Mac OS X version 10.5.8
sony briedge for mac version 2.2(3071)
what do you suggest?
i need to install the new system update that is available

I have that problem with my MacBook Pro. When I am connecting it I just unplug it then try replugging it in until it finally detects it. Sometimes it takes 5-6 times but it eventually works. I have also tried different cables and noticed it make a difference.
