xperia s update to ics problem

any one else been able to update their xperia s to ics, i had the icon come up today on my phone so started to update it and on the sony site it tells you to download pc companion, done all that and followed the steps to update my software but instead the stupid thing restored my phone, would like it if some one has been sucessfull and managd to update the xperia s could tell me wht they done please

Finally, with regards to our all new Sony Xperia S, which will be upgraded to Android 4.0 starting from the later part of the second quarter, we will get back with more detailed information on timing over the next weeks.

I believe it was just a minor update that you have just done.
