Number of problems with Xperia S:
1. Bass on the music player is too weak. I wanted my Xperia S to replace my 5 year old walkman, but unfortunately, the bass is too weak. Im sure this can be fixed by Sony.
2. Photos taken with the camera are too noisy, even in reasonable lighting
3. Continuous autofocus in video mode is pretty much unusable. Need a tap-to-focus or shutter button focus option.
4. Notification light is a little bit buggy. When on charge, and the light is amber/green, if a notification comes, the light blinks blue. Or in other words the charging status is no longer shown. Should show charging light and blink blue. I think the blinking intervals for some of the notifcations are too long as well.

Xperia S picture quality, the pictures look amazing on the S's screen but washed out on a regular LCD/LED or HD TV/Screen

I have notice a little difference of pictures quality, if the picture is sent to my tv not by xperia. the color are less vivid; the resolution is less sharp than the picture is showed by hdmi cable. anyway, xperia works fine generally with build. 73 (it is true this is my first advanced multimedia experience, because my last phone has only rca cable...) I will try what we have done bye
that's because using the HDMI cable you are using the bravia engine.

Hey Sony,
Xperia U is a fantastic set but the main problem is the notification light, its working but in very very dim mood, We can see in silent mood that sms or miss call came while it is on the table. Please make sure to be fix notification light in ICS upgrade more bright and bright....
Thanks Sony
i agree with you and moreover... the transparent side is very cool, but it could be used much more... to flash led for different notification so it is possible to see when the phone is reverse on the table... to use three led to do the light effect ( ex. flush effect like "kit car")... and more other thinks
another problem for me...
1_Each Navigator Voice Message should be considered like "notification"; in this way, it is possible to assign a different volume level than volume level of multimedia contents (like music, audio/video and calling audio via bluetooth). So, during music playing on my car i can hear the Navigator Voice Message much loud (better) than the media content is playing at moment on my car bluetooth radio!!
..It should be nice tuning on ICS!!
2_I like using SmartTag to activate "car kit apps" (like Bluetooh, TTS, gps, Navigator, ..etc), but it is very annoying to have to confirm the activation of GPS everytime!! It is better to put a flag "...do not show this warning more!"
Pleeeease... fix this on ICS!!
I have apparently solved the bass problem.
I tried this with stock handsfree provided with my Xperia SL and I used the walkman music player provided by default on the handset.
First, open the walkman app and hit the options key (rightmost) on your phone. Select sound enhancements from the menu that appears and select "bass boost".
Second, insert the earphone marked left (L) in your left ear and then bring the earphone marked right (R) all the way from behind the neck to your right ear and put it in.
Feel the bass.
Xperia SL camera problem.
Apparently the autofocus on the camera is too sensitive.
If your hand shakes or flickers a bit the autofocus recalculates a new focus and perhaps a wrong one.
Thus, your image is all blurred.
Solutions:
1] You need to have really stable hands. (The more relaxed your hands are the more stable they are. Some people tend to make their hands stiff and more shaky they become. )
2] Do not move the hand atleast after a second (preferably two) after the image is clicked.
3] Hit the options key ( rightmost on the phone ) while the camera is on and choose image stabilizer option from the second screen of options menu and check the box (it is unchecked by default).
This may help though I never tried it myself.
