Hi, I'm having this randomly mobile network not working issue since I updated my Xperia S to ICS.
When the problem occurred:
The signal bar on top of my phone screen is showing 3-4 bar(max 4 bar), and there is a 'H' or '3G' showing beside the signal bar.
However I can't access to the internet; google play not loading, browser can't load and any apps that require network access cannot be use.
I have tried the following actions to solve the problem:
1) disable the mobile network and enable it again -- problem still exist
2) turn on airplane mode and then turn it off -- problem still exist
3) put the phone there overnight hoping it will resolve itself -- problem still there the next morning
4) restart the phone -- can access the internet using mobile network
Although the mobile network issue is solved after restarting the phone, but the problem will still occur after some time.
It is very annoying to restart my phone every time this problem occurred.
So i decide to reset my phone, hoping it will solve the problem once and for all.
I used Sony Update Service(SUS) to reset my phone, but after resetting the phone the problem still exist.
Is there any other way that I can solve my problem?
kindly assist.
my SUS show I have the latest software.but my build number is 6.1.A.0.452.
oh sorry my bad I thought you were having network drop issues,,
I see that you have performed the software repair on SUS. so this might be a network issue
try to contact your network if they are having problems as of now,
try to ask them for the correct/latest apn settings.
This problem is widely reported by many people who installed ICS on Xperia S. I am also having this bug. For now you cant do anything besides restarting your phone each time it stops receive mobile data. All we can do is patienly wait for indefinite period of time until Sony developers would be so kind to fix this bug and to clear all the other mess they brought up with ICS update.
Why don't you downgrade and wait for a bugfree ICS or probably jelly bean update,
Hello braydencooper067,
You may be right, but with a new and high configured phone using a version which is old used by the basic smart mobile models of other brands, doesn't look good.. And its ridiculous that Sony is not able to fix the issues there are lot of users reporting problems everyday...
How confident you are with JellyBean in Xperia S?? ICS update itself is not satisfactory, no confident in JellyBean as well !!
I see, thanks for the info.
well I've just found a new certification for you
