Xperia S ICS features Missing

Hi Sony Support,

We are really upset on the update which misses the core features of ICS. Still its getting rolling to many country almost 4 days gone.

Native 3G VIDEO CALL.- why we have a front camera where we cant use it for video call. Its not fair

WIFI-DIRECT- The most welcomed features. Thought its being the highend smart phone we already misses the 4.0 bluetooth which the board can support but atleast the WIFI capable direct transfer technology which most company including samsung incorporated even in GB phone and adding to these the white paper reveales that its  has the technology in buit. But why its not implemented in the latest build.

Camera : Burst Mode. Many low end smartphones has that features. Why we dont have that feature. its really a pain  that having spent on high end phone lacks basic functionality where a mediocre devices can perform the same functionality at a fraction of price.

I am not pin pointing or complaining. I am just esclating to the right department to notify that these core features which are missing in the XS.

Please take it as a feedback and do the needfull to the owners of XS.

My tv has wifi direct built in, so in theory it should work.

Also, since the ICS update the wifi on my phone tends to stop functioning without any warning. This happens especially when I start the connected devices app.

does it say wifi direct or just wifi?

It says wifi direct and has an option for wifi direct in the tv menu

I also do not understand how the Xperia Advance (Xperia Go for US) HAS Wi-Fi Direct under Network settings, and the Xperia Acro S, S, SL do not have this option.

Now, regarding jooso's post... What do you intent to do with the TV, because Wi-Fi direct is a connection method that bypasses a wifi router device... kind of like an Ad-Hoc mode.

But if you do have a Wi-Fi router and you want to display your media content to your TV you should use DLNA, which is the "Throw" feature in our phones...

In my opinion, Wi-Fi Direct is better used when you want to do big file transfers, since it is way faster than Bluetooth.

But for displaying content in the TV, a microHDMI cable is the best way to go... Specially since our Xperia devices support CEC (which is the ability to control the device plugged to HDMI, using the same remote control from your TV) Look it up.
