Xperia S - audio problem

Whenever I unplug the earphone from the jack, there is NO sound from the speaker, and I noticed that the phone seems do not recognise the earphone has been unplugged, can anyone help with this issue?

there might be dust on the 3.5mm jack

if that doesn't work  you might want to repair your phone with SUS or PCC
