Xperia Ray usb PC connect issue

I try to connect the phone to a PC - I've tryied 3 so far, different OS too - using 2 micro USB cables, I guess from some Samsung smartphones, beacuse I don't have the original one that came with Xperia Ray ... it just seems to charging, on every system or with any of those 2 cables, but cannot initiate pc connection for syncronizing or so, with PC Companion ...

The data cable for Xperia Ray is somehow different than standard micro USB from other manufacturers ? becouse the cables from Samsung phones are working ok with there software, Kies, for instance ...

So, do I have to look for an original micro USB cable for Ray to PC connection?

have you tried changing the connection to Mass Storage mode?

tried other usb ports

try to see my computer>device manager, , look if your phone is detected as other type of device.

also try to open PC companion before connecting the phone.

yeap, all done, tryied on xp, windows 7, Ubuntu etc.

then i suggest to contact your local service center to have your phone checked,
