Xperia ray can not turn on after installation failed!

Dear Xperts,

I have been using xperia ray for about more than one year.
Today i want to update the software from GB (2.3.4) to ICS.
During the time of update(PC companion), when computer installing software to mobile, it shows "installation failed".
After that i alos try Sony update service but got same message.
Now i can not power on my mobile. If i connect charger, then nothing happens. But if connect to the computer then only Green led light.

Note: I tries to Hard reset by pressing Power+volume down key but nothing happen. Then press power+volume up key then Blue led light.

Whats happen... Plz plz plz reply me..

I suggest that you remove the battery from the phone for a while. Put it back in and charge for a couple of hours using the wall charger. If you still can't start the phone I suggest that you try to repair the phone using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone". Do this without the phone connected and then follow the instructions given to you in the program.

My phones battery is full.

I do as per your suggestion. There are 4 steps in PC companion: 1.Start  2.Prepare  3.Update  4.Fininsh

In the stage of "Update" , it shows following message:

"An error has occured and the phone software update was cancelled.

Your phone/tablet may be damaged.

It is recommended that you retry and repair the phone/tabet with the latest available sotfware.

Click retry and follow the guide."

This is very unfortunate, plz help

You could also try to update/repair the phone software using Sony Update Service instead of PC Companion:

I have also tried to SUS but it also shows installation failed !

PC companion show the following message:

If i close the message then it shows:

Sony Update Engine Failure (error 100)

I am very warried about my hardware, is there any problem in ROM?

Note: When SUS/PC companion wants to  connect the phone by pressing volume down key, my phone can connect without pressing the volume down key and green led light.

Every steps i followed as per SONY recommendation but why this happens?

I have no warrenty.

Hi

I have had the exact same problem. I have also tried to update the software for the first time since I first bought the ray.  

I have also tried the solutions suggested but it still wont work.  Please could you advise how I get my Experia Ray to work?

Or whether anone knows what a possible solution is to reboot/reformat the phone?

In that case I would suggest to try to update/repair the phone software using another computer, perhaps on another network.
