is there any known problem or fault with the internal memory of this phone? i purchased december 2011 and started having trouble with memory in march and since then its gotten worse. the phone now does not function properly, slow, crashes, lost display settings, will not load emails etc. i deleted apps and yet memory freed up does not adjust appropriately and have moved all possible files to sd and still i have low internal memory.
can someone offer advice and help? its getting to the point i'm going to buy a new phone and it wont be a sony!
I have the same problem. I didn't find Gmail to be an issue memory-wise (re post #9), but Facebook definitely was/is - seems to be a very bloaty app, with 20MB of data regularly being swallowed up. Clearing that helps matters ... but only for a few weeks before the usual symptoms reappear
My conclusion is, the Xperia Pro just doesn't have enough internal memory for the "real world". I don't download apps just for the sake of it - I only have a modest number, and those that I have I actually *need*. I've installed on SD wherever possible.
When I get low on memory, it's a real problem. Apps crash and - significantly - I no longer get voicemail notifications from my Hullomail visual voicemail app. (Hullomail supports has confirmed that low memory causes this.) It could be argued that Sony's pre-release testing of this device was flawed - surely they wouldn't have put it on sale if they knew the device would become practically unusable within just a few months for a lot of people ... would they?
Final note - I came across this link while Googling on this issue. A purported solution that permits part of the SD card to effectively become more 'internal' memory. Haven't tried it - far too fiddly for me - but others might want to give it a go.
