Xperia Pro: Browser Button problem

I got this phone a few days ago and the browser button on the keyboard doesn't work. I press it but it doesn't open any browser. Do I have to configure it or something to open a specific browser when I press that button?

the browser button does not work on the home screen and does not work when Opera is Open.

it basically does nothing.

Can you surf the web, with Opera?

In any case, have you tried an upgrade with PCC or SEUS?

no i haven't tried to repair with SEUS because i'm afraid it will mess up my phone again.

has anybody here repaird of updated with SEUS and managed to repair all the issues that the ICS upgrade caused?

The issues i had after ICS upgrade was:

1. qwerty became azerty but its ok now cos of the 1MB update.

2. LED SMS notification still not working.

3. phone is slow.

4. phone restarts randomly.

For repair all the issues we have to wait for Sony... We risk to die for age before it happens...

So, other thing you can try is a factory reset.

Guys, there IS NO "browser button" on the keyboard of the Xperia Pro!!! There is a button on the keyboard that looks like a globe, but the functionality of this is to change the keyboard settings when you are typing (e.g. to set a different writing language).

If you apply my mod, however, you can make this button also function as a standard Android Search Button (it will also retain the keyboard settings functionality as before):

Then, if you press Search+B at the same time it will launch the browser. Search+A will launch calculator, Search+E will launch email, Search+P will launch music player etc. If you are on Gingerbread you can customise these settings under the new "Quick Launch" menu which will appear under Settings->Applications. Unfortunately on ICS Google stupidly removed this "Quick Launch" menu.
