Xperia Privilege App and problems redeeming the Xperia promotion

I recently purchased my Xperia Tablet Z (Model # SGP351). It's running the stock version of Android 4.1.2. I run into problems redeeming the following offer from Sony. The offer is being adverstised on the Sony Store product page for the Xperia family of Tablets.

I downloaded the Xperia Privilege App as per the instructions found in the above linked document. I installed it, set my location to USA and the language to English. This is the screen that I come up agains.

The screen should be populated with various offers from Sony allowing me to download 6 free movies, download 10 free PS Mobile games, and get a 60 day trial of Music Unlimited; however, it only shows me some promotion for some app. 

I've contacted Sony Online Entertainment Support, Xperia Care, and the PSN people, and no one could help me. Everyone is giving me the runaround.

That may be so Sam, but my issue is where does it state these restrictions in the advert with the Xperia Ultra?

You do not realise you have been deceived until after actual purchasing the device, going on the privilege app and trying to redeem the offer.

Also, the 60 day music unlimited offer is also not available to loyal paying music unlimited customers. I cannot see that restriction below either?

So the more Sony products I buy the less sony is willing to give in return.

Its clear Sony has no intention of resolving this issue, so the matter will be reported to the appropriate advertising and trading standards organisations in the UK.

Hey local, I stumbled upon this thread while browsing for an altogether different issue that I'm experiencing trying to redeem the offer. Anyway, I see that Sony Support is being unresponsive, so I'd like to offer my help. The following link will take you to the offer details page. http://store.sony.com/gsi/static/WFS/SNYNA-SNYUS-Site/-/SNYNA/en_US/assets/pdfs/SEN_TABLET_PROMO.pdf (PDF WARNING). Bellow you'll find a list of restrictions, and it does mention that you need to be a new subscriber to the Music Unlimited service to be eligible. However, nowhere does it say that the offer does not stack if you buy more than one device, so you should absolutely argue with Sony Support about that. I highly advise that you call them instead of emailing. That way they support rep can't just put you off till later and instead is forced to deal and help you right there and then. I just got my tablet last week.Since then I have been through multiple sites of Sony trying to find support for the free movies/games etc.Even posting on the Sony Entertainment website they gave me a chat page that when I went on only does hardware support.

Here's what happens to me with Xperia Z Tablet

Press on the Xperia Privelege App

See the screen come up with the free offers

Press on 1 doesn't matter which one

Asked to press the right arrow 

Goes to terms and conditions 

Then goes to a "Your device is not applicable for this promotion"

I have been passed around like a baby at a baby shower .

Emails ,promised follow up support calls never happened.

Then I called again Wednesday and when the rep asked if I would hold I told him I had all day.After 5 minutes he came back and said

They know the Xperia Privelege App isn't working.

They are working hard to fix it but don't have a timeline.

They will probably extend the redemption dates (duh really?)

I told him they should fire the genious that wrote the App that doesn't work.Didn't they test it?

Pretty poor support Sony and no real customer care as I see in this thread.Someone has dropped the ball here but from my experience so far nobody seems to really care.Oh well seems to be the prevalent attitude.

Received code

Redeemed code for free movie

Downloaded in about 3 seconds a file called download-content.action

This file does not open. Free movie no where on my tablet including SD card. Does not appear in Video Unlimited.

I got my tablet in Lat November because I  live in Ireland I do not get the Free Playstation Mobile Games or Movies

Can you advise now that playstaion Mobile is available in Ireland will I get the Free Playstaion Mobile games

and when will Video unlimited be rolled out to Ireland,

The main reason I bought the xperia Z over Samsung was this offer and I have emailed several different sonyIreland Sony entertainment they just send me around the houses can someone please give me an answer

In case this helps anyone else, I've just purchased the Xperia Tablet Z (with 4G and WiFi) and have had the same problems claiming my free movies, games and music.

To get access I removed the Xperia Privilege app, disconnected from WiFi and connected using a valid micro SIM (UK). Reinstallingthe privilege app over the mobile carrier network brought up all of the offers I was expecting. I've been able to claim all codes except for music unlimited but this is because I've used the free trial on my ps3 previously.

I had also been having problems and when I tried again Saturday (2 days ago) the app worked correctly.I got my voucher codes and redeemed them and downloaded the games/movies.I didn't do anything different it appears that Sony actually fixed the problem .
