A couple of days ago I went to use my Xperia play for the first time that day and the screen brightness was so low that I could hardly see the screen.
I checked the settings and the brightness was actually up full and after trying a couple of other setting I decided to do a factory re-set to see if that fixed the problem but nothing.
I then tried to do a software update and since then the phone wont switch on at all!
I have tried the software update several times now using the phone repair function holding down the "back key" and it goes through the function however even still the phone wont switch back on... any ideas?
When I take the battery out and put it in again and press the power button it vibrates once but nothing after that!
can you still charge the phone? remember Update Service won't work unless you have more than 50% battery charge
I have 2 batteries and a seperate battery charger and have tried a combination of charging incase it was a faulty battery.
When the phone is plugged into the computer via usb the power light no longer comes on to indicate that it is charging however when you hold the back button in to go through the update process it does light up green.
I did think that the display may just be broken but if that was the case then the blue power light would be on to show that the phone was was on, and it doesnt...
how about different USB cables?
I have the same problem but my phone doesn't charge. My phone find with wifi a new version for software and when i start the process my phone switch off and after that won't switch on.I have tried hard reset, charge but nothing at all.Any ideas or i have to see a technician? Please help me and thanks for help
you can try the basic
take the battery out, w/o the battery press and hold the power button for few seconds, try to turn it on, if it doesn't
connect your phone to the wall charger, does the LED turn on (yellow/orange)? if it doesnt try a computer? does it work, if it doesn't try a different Micro USB cable
yup tried this 😞
It seems that the only solution is to contact SE repair center
