xperia play device not found on pc

my phone wont turn on it just flashes red i have tryed to use sony companion and it dont load up my phone i have uninstalled it bout 30 times each time it say i need to restart laptop i do that boot up again same problame device not recongnized it dont load up on sony companion so i carnt reinstalle update

Have you unlocked the bootloader? could you try a different PC?

Charge the phone for 1 hour,turn it off.Download sony update service and repair phone software.

I don't think you understand I have had it on charge over night it dose not turn on Sony PC companion do not locate my phone my laptop dose not read my phone when plug into it I have uninstalled it loads of times get told to restart laptop then when it restarts it dose not locate it again and just repeats

what will thay be able to do as i live no were near a sony center why carnt i just get told how to fix this fault

HI,

I have the same problem,

I have a Xperia Play 4G R800at, 
When i connect my phone to my laptop, there is no notification of it getting connected. 
tried different USB cables, port, PCs, laptops, retested my phone to factory and setting reset, remove battery, remove Sim, memory card, but still not recognized. have latest PC companion but it just doesn't recognize it, changed the media transfer and mass transfer modes still same thing. tried update service and also tried update software from phone but in vain. 
only can charge the phone with wall charger.

USB debbuging was checked, my laptop jus dont recognise it.. tried diff pc and USB cables as well.

checked bootloader but i dont have any option to unlock or lock it in phone(*#*#7378423#*#* i dialed this and no option in service info)

Please help i am sick of my internal memory need to root my phone, sick of 2.3.3 need to flash rom... this is an amazing phone don wanna change ity (unless sony releases play 2 :D)

please help
