Xperia P signal problem

My xperia p work good in GSM mode.

when i change the mode to UMTS the signal not stable, some times very weak.

my area have a strong network coverage.

what with wrong? can any body help me.

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

How old is the SIM you use in your Xperia P? If it's older then 5-6 months I'd recommend you to contact your operator to get a new SIM!
