I am currently experiencing an upgdate problem or rather a downgrade to my xperia P android. After I attempt to upgrade my xperia P to ice cream sandwich, I noticed that my xperia P was still running on android 2.3 (gingerbread). I thought I might have missed a step, so I decided to carefully repeat the upgdate proccess. However, the second attempt to upgdate (repair update) requires a complete reboot deleting all personal settings, photos, apps. etc. To avoid these losts, I backed up all the files (messages, contacts, photos, music, apps and everything else except manual selection) with sony PC companion. When I completed reinstalling the update, the xperia P continues to run on android gingerbread. Later, I realized that the default themes (the blue moving animated waves) which I had before my second installation attempt became the blue waves that doesn't move. I check the theme gallery (live wallpapers) and all the defaults animate moving waves are replaced with non-moving waves. When I try to restore my backups to the xperia P, only photos and musics were restore. The rest were unable to restore due to errors. The only reason I can think of for these errors is a downgrade with my android phone. I believe my xperia P was running on android 2.3.7.1.0 something. Now, the xperia P only runs on android 2.3.7. When will android 4.0 be available in Canada? I bought my xperia P in Hong Kong. How can I upgrade back to my previous 2.3.7.1...? Without reverting back to that version or higher, I believe I cannot restore all my contacts that I have backed up. I really want to have my animated waves live wallpaper back as well...Please Help

The ICS update varies from region to region, The Animated Live walpaper along with theme has been removed by sony in the FW version.184, No need to worry regarding this,if u want it you can go to wallpapers>live walpapers>cosmic flow and Apply.
Thank you, I got my live wallpapers back. Do you happen to know the reason why I am unable to restore my back ups from sony PC companion to my xperia P? Thank you for the advise and help.
I Never tried to back up the Stuff using PC companion, Mostly i use the Apps in the Market like, My back up pro and Titanium for back up which worked for me...
