Hi all,
I have purchased xperia P few days ago. It comes with android 2.4 i took some pictures from mobile camera it was perfect , but now i upgrade it to ICS now when I am trying to capture image black strip comes at top and bottom of screen (mySelected resolutin is 8M, If I select 6M or 2M only then full screen is available)
Anyone knows about this problem
you have to change the scene to auto or normal, idon't really understand what strip are you talking about, but do what i told you and come back with answers.
its not a problem buddy, it's like that by default, it shouldnt' be problem for taking pictures
@itskiran its not giving problem while taking picture but it doesnt look good while watching images in gallary
@alexdon scene is set to auto... I am attaching 2 image please have a look at it and tell me if something is wrong
This one is with 8M Resolution
and this is with 6M resolution
In 1st image there are black stripes i dont want that to come in 8M resolution
Nothing wrong there.
The 8M mode has an aspect ratio of 4.3 while your screen has an aspect ratio of 16.9, because of this you have black bars.
The 6M mode on the other hand is 16.9 so your phone is able to display it without bars.
A very good answer here.Nothing is wrong.
Ok so how to change the aspect ration?
And from where do we get the aspect ratio for different modes i.e. 6M, 8M etc?
The camerasensor is 8mp with an aspectratio of 4:3.
6Mp mode cuts of some of the recorded data to make it 16:9.
By doing this you lose some pixels resulting in a changed number of pixels: from 8Mp to 6Mp.
This is because the camera can't make a 16:9 8Mp picture.
After you made a picture you can set the aspectratio to different vallues with a photo editing program.
Keyboardsrds iss realyY glitchingg outt noww sorryy forr thiss strangee textt.
*edit: made the text actually readable, xperia keyboard was warping around words and putting extra letters behind them. (very funny sony, veeerey funny...)
there is no prblem with the black strips at the sides, it is because of the aspect ratio. there is a problem with the photo quality. pictures taken with the 8 mp, w/flash at low light condition seem to be very dark compared to 6mp variety, and all who updated to ICS suffers it. let's just hope sony releases an update solution to this problem.
