i am unable to connect my Xperia P (running latest update)with laptop running windows 7 basic. I get the notification that peripheral device driver not available. Repeated attempt to istall drivers from phone failed ? pl guide how to install drivers . thanks
It happened the same to me,the driver for the bluetooth did not work.I downloaded driver genius professional,a program which finds the drivers for the outdated components, and it found a good bluetooth driver.now i can use laptop-phone or otherwise transfers via bluetooth.I am on windows 7 x64.
Thanks. But i am reluctant to use any third party software, Is there any other way out ?
I do not think i understood exactly what happened. You say your bluetooth works but you cannot connect to xperia p or you cannot install the driver for bluetooth on windows 7?If your problem is the second one,you can install the bluetooth from the software cd or from your laptop producers site.
let me explain in detail. I am able to send and receive files when i connect my laptop ,( dell/win 7) to my other nokia phone via bluetooth. Similarly i am able to receive and send files when i connect my xperia P phone with nokia phone via bluetooth.
i am also able to receive files from my laptop to xperia phone via bluetooth. The problem arises when i try to send files from xperia phone to my laptop via bluetooth. My laptop is discovered by xperia phone but when i trasfer files from phone to laptop, i get a message that 'file not sent'.
when i try to install drivers from phone to laptop, i get a message that drvers not installed.
can you help to sort this out ?
do you accept the pim transfer alert that is given by the windows ??
yes, pin trasfer is accepted. when i trasfer from laptop to xperia, i am prompted by phone to accept or reject. But if, i try to transfer from xperia to laptop, there is no response and ' file transfer not done' msg flashes on xperia.
Have you inserted the correct code that appears on the laptop? The code must be inserted on the phone in order to make a connection to the laptop.
yes, even repeated pairing attempts are not helping.
I have the same issue, is anyone from Sony reading these ?
