xperia p battery issue

My xperia is almost 2 years old, a couple of months ago the phone suddenly stopped working. The screen went black and even when I had it connected to a charger the LED won't light. Later, I figured out that the phone was actually on (it started ringing and  I was able to answer phone calls.) The next day the screen magically turned back on, though I had a major batterry problem (probably excessive charging when I thought the phone was dead and needed to be charged). The battery wouldn't last  so I  connected it to a portable charger almost all the time. A week ago the phone turned off.. At first, it would only start up to the screen displaying SONY and wont continue to charge, now whenever i connect it I get a contineous red LED but the screen doesnt turn on. I cant restart the phone by holding the power button and the up volume but I noticed that when its connected and i hold the up volume button i get purple led for a few seconds but nothing else. Any sugggestions?

You can stop by your local Sony Xperia Care

You could also repair it with SUS or PCC, I don't know if it will work but you can try

Update Service (SUS)

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)
