Xperia P battery cherge even when not plugged in

Hi there,

When i dont use my phone the battery drains lightly.

After +- 5hours the battery drained about 40%

When i turn on the screen and i want to do something the battery draines instantly till the phone turns of.

60% in one time?????

After this i connect the phone to its charger and it charges.
When i pull out the plug at 50%  the battery % rises every time i unlock the screen, even through 80% ?????????

Also verry anoying is the fact that when i call somebody, the screen freezes and i cant use the touchscreen anymore.

The phone keeps calling on a voicemail and i cant turn it of.

I had this a few times and had to wait till the battery draines out.

Please some help!!!!!

Regarding the battery behavior you are experiencing I suggest that you take a look at the following topic:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Facing-problems-with-abnormal-battery-and-shutdown/m-p/320375#U320...

Regarding the behavior with the display not responding when calling, it sounds like you have some problem with the proximity sensor. Make sure you haven't any cover or screen protection covering the sensor on the top of the phone (next to the Sony logo).

You can also test the proximity sensor using the application Xperia diagnostic:

Hi there Alexander,

I tried the 2 things you told me.

Regarding the battery, id performed the reset and mij battery diagram showed a +-5% drop.
Only the verticle line is not shown but i dont think this is the issue.

Today my battery life was 70% , i picked up my phone, took a picture and send it with email, dusing this, the battery dropped from 70% to 10% and i had to put it on a charger.

I also downloaded the diagnostic program, everything works fine.

In the use when the touch screen freezes, i just think the touch part is not working any more.

The touch buttons on the bottem work fine so i can put on screen saver and go to home screen.

Only the touch isnt working.

When i have this issue again i wil try the hard reset with power and volume up button.

When the phone is still in garanty, maybe i have to send it to sony for the battery issue???

Greetings, David

Yes, in that case I agree that you should have the phone examined at a service center. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information about where to find your nearest service center:
