Xperia mini Touchscreen loosing track

Hi everyone!

I have searched the forums and didn't found too much about my problem.

So basically my touchscreen is working fine if the movements are smooth and relatively slow. But faster gestures are not recognized correctly (no screenpotector). For example the lockscreen slider unlocks fine if you slowly slide it, while a faster slide does not. The problem is apparent almost everywhere: scrolling, zooming. Sometimes, instead of a slide it registers a single touch (click) this is very frustrating. A thread goes on the xda forums about this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373360

As we have an Xperia X8  i tested it with kids paint free, with a simplier method. Also i can reproduce it easily: just stroke back and forth. While speed is relatively slow both phone works fine. As i increase the speed new colours start to appear on the mini, while on the X8 it always remains the same colour.

A friend of mine has an HTC desire (with a screenprotector). We tried and it acts similar to the mini. The surface is also similar to the mini, while the X8 has a smoother feeling. I wonder if it has any importance.

I just tried flicking around on the screen on a Xperia mini running on the .62 software and I would say I can't see any problems with the response or that it looses track.

This software is still being rolled out, you should get a notification when it's available for your phone.

my xperia mini (11w37) and running the .62 already,, and my phone has the same problem as mentioned above. when i scrolling on my contact list its often clicking rather than scrolling because of the losing track.. is this digitizer problem?? i've tried repair my phone but the problem still exist..

well type this on ur keypad  *#*#7378423#*#* and go to service test n  chck ur touch screen

this will clear out whether ur touch is fine or there is any prob

Tried the service menu test, and the problem is still there. It seems to register shorter movements than the actual ones, tried with side to side continous strokes (it doesn't matter if it is horizontal or vertical).  The lines are not the same lenght, except when i move relatively slow, than it is correct side to side.

well then there is def problem with ur touch .. take ur phone to SE service center

yes, i know its hardware issue.. and many users encounter with same issue...

can the xperia mini touchscreen and touch button replaced with the peria mini pro's/xperia active's touch/button because the simillar size??

what do you mean by replacing it ? nobody will or can do that i gues..
