Xperia M4 Aqua Back is extremely hot

My mobile phone is new and it turns out to be extremely hot twice a day (back part of the screen and the superior part of the screen) for a couple of minutes, I think there is the NFC port. It drives me crazy and I dont think this happens because apps because I dont use many at the same time and I put the phone in stamina mode 😕 What can I do?

We'll need more info to better assist you

charge the phone 100% use it as you normally would then once the battery reaches 10%

settings > power management > battery > take screenshots of:

1. the list
2. tap on the graph and take a screenshot
3. back > tap on the top 4 items on the list > take a screenshot of each

post them all here or upload the screenshots to box or dropbox or google drive or etc and post the link

happened to me also the first time with my M4.

so i opened the box, updated my contacts, downloaded some basic apps i needed...no games yet. evening came so i went to sleep with the phone beside my pillow. the next morning i found it very hot! so what happened?

i checked the graph (settings>power management>battery usage>(touch the graph), then I saw at the bottom part some details which are using most of the battery. I saw that aside from mobile network, the wifi is also in full bar/graph. meaning it is running all night long. to which that this is related to the apps i downloaded and also the preset apps came with the phone - updating all night, hence the battery usage which causes the heat.

so what i did was to "turn off" auto updates in the android market. downloading updates uses wifi, and wifi uses power. I only update my apps manually, when i have a spare time and more battery.

Hey man thanks for answering! I use Facebook and whatsapp and that's it. Once I don't need an app I close it

Well guys I don't sleep with my mobile phone and I alwaus turn off the WiFi. The updates are manually in my case so I think you can better give me a solution when I'll send you the graphs of usage of battery 🔋

@Cronchirock

facebook and whatsapp are battery hogs, and will constantly sync, even if you close the apps, they will run in the background.

well, as i've mentioned, these updates and wifi usage without my permission are the culprits turning my M4 into a heater. after I solved it, no heating issues now, except of course when heavy usage (games etc)...
