Can't get out of Safe Mode.
Any suggestions?
Urgent!
Thanks
Just restart your device. If this does not work, you have a defective volume down button.
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
Just like alexdon said, if a restart does not exit safe mode your volume button may be defective. You can always try with a factory reset via Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset. Otherwise, I suggest that you contact your local support team for further information about how to proceed with this in the best possible way:

I switched it off and turned it on again and turned up the volume at the same time. Now it's out of Safe Mode. was thinking about taking out the battery which has worked for weird things with previous other makes of phone. Couldn't get the casing off though. Seem to be no instructions with the phone regarding casing removal. Someone said they broke three fingernails trying to get theirs off. It's not so much of an issue now but I'd be interested to know for future reference. Thanks for helping me today though. I've only had the phone a short while and was a bit worried.
Hi Jo61,
There are no instructions regarding casing removal for Xperia M2 since the battery is embedded. So if you try to remove the battery, it may damage the device and the warranty will be void.
If you experience strange behaviour and/or that the device hangs, you can hold the ON/OFF + volume up(+) button for 10 seconds to force a shutdown of the phone. This will disconnect the connection to the battery.
