Xperia M problem with urBeats

hey guys,...... i just wanna know if anybody had the same problem with me

i have urBeats earphones with mic and i wanna use it on my xperia m. but when i plug it the sound still came through the speaker rather the earphones. but when i try on my friend Xperia SP, i had no problem at it. Then i ask the sony Customer service and the man explain that 2012 Xperia line up now using CTIA plug standard. assuming that Xperia M and SP are all 2013 line up, so they must be using the same plug type (CTIA). i try it with sony earphone, it is fine. so is this hardware problem or software problem??

Try to readjust it, and leave it little lossy...it might work.
I had the also the issues when i use my Samsung earphones in my Xperia M,but after some readjustment it works great!!

i've got the same problem with the headphone!!! it doesnt work with my Experia M.......i'm so stress. the sound for all my music playlist can't be heard. the sound seems to be cracked n weird. what should i do. can anyone help me????

I have the same problem with my Xperia m. When i connect my urbeats, the sound still came up from the speaker. I plug my urbeats to my friend xperia sp and it worked. What's the explanation for this? As i know, the xperia m and sp use the same standard plug

Xperia SP and Xperia M use the same standard on the plug (CTIA) but there are also other things that can cause compatibility issues when using 3:rd party headsets. There are for example different types of microphones which requires different voltages. If the microphone on your headset requires a higher voltage then the one we use on our headsets the headset might not work.
