Xperia L screen auto rotate not working

Hi Guys,

My Xperia L screen auto rotate has stopped working since few days. I did factory reset, did repair by PC Companion. But still doesn't work. I ran the tests too. The compass and accelerometer doesn't seem to be working. Is this a hardware problem or software? Can this be fixed?
