Xperia L keeps restarting when headphones are plugged in

I got my xperia L about 5 days ago..bought it off of amazon everything was working well but that was before i plugged in the headset to listen music and realize that the phone restarted...i contacted sony after i notice the problem continued they told me use the pc companion software...i did same problem..they told try other headphone and i got the same problem...Is there any other thing i can do to try and fix the problem

Unfortunately this implies it is a hardware issue and as such it would need to be sent through to an authorised repair agent for assessment. Please contact your local Xperia Care team for assistance in aranging this.

Hi, i bought a bluetooth headphone the other day thinking that it would work but when the headphone was connected it restarted still, When you go into the settings for the headphone and take off Media Audio the phone doesn't restart it works with for receiving calls but not audio. There is no xperia care team in my country bought the phone off the internet

Unfortunately given the nature of the problem and what you have tried, we are only left with returning the product so that it may be assessed by an authorised repair agent sorry.

this is the same problem of most Xperia M user too. i think the defect rate is too high

I heard about the problem in Xperia M and i heard they fixed it with their last update to M. I see person talking about sony is to upgrade us to either 4.3 or 4.2.2 which ever one i hope they fix this problem for the xperia l in the upgrade

The problem is related to new JB update (4.2.2).

Until Sony fixes the issue, you can avoid the reboot by using some other media headphone (without mic).

I am using Philips SBC HL145 and haven't faced any reboot since then.

guys , i was also facing the same problem,   for me the power saver ->sitting ->power management ->stamina was on.

After  turning it off ... my phone is not  restarting  while  on headphone and playing music... all the best
