Xperia L constantly restarting

Hi, have noticed a few other posts like this, but no definitive "fix".  As of last night, my phone is restarting pretty much every time I touch it.  I need to be contactable by mobile so this is a real worry.  I try to read a message, it restarts; try to access web, it restarts.  It doesn't turn itself off - just the restart screen, then takes minutes to "reload".  I've tried it in safe mode and it seems to be ok for up to an hour at a time - I've removed any apps that I don't use. What's going on?  Lots of people seems to be having the same problem - the prediciable "factory reset" is the immediate response, but it's time consuming and inevitably leaves folk missing some photos or messages or something that they'd rather not lose - where's the fix for this Sony?  Thanks

Did you try to remove the SIM card?

Hi, yes, took the sim out last night, then put it back and restarted - still ongoing.  Very frustrating.  The phone isn't even a year old and up until last night I've had no issue at all with it, in fact really liked it.

I suggest you go for a software repair:

will try it later and see what happens - can't do that during the day, need to be at home computer, thanks

gotta say though, the  problem seems to be with lots of people and this fix advice doesn't actually tell any of us why this has suddenly started happening and why sony aren't all over it?

also, if I have to keep it in safe mode all day (which I'm gonna have to do, every time I touch it there's a restart!) - what am I not accessing in safe mode - is there anything I should be aware that I won't see/get whilst it's in this mode?  Thanks again

In safe mode we are excluding the 3rd party apps,if the problems do not occur,it means one of those is responsible.

Are you aware of any particular app that seems to be recurring as the main issue?  Any heads up on what to take off and reinstall would be appreciated, thanks
