xperia L album widget on home screen is not showing

the album widget on my xperia L home screen where u can flip photos is not showing. This is the first time it has happened.. i purchased my cell 2 months back and this is the first time i am facing this problem. please help.

Go to Settings-Apps-All Find "Photos and videos" app tap on it and clear data and clear cache.

ok i followed your steps but, it is still not showing.

Do you mean that the widget itself is not showing up or that the widget doesn't show pictures? If the widget itself is not showing up, have you tried adding the widget again through Home screen--menu--Add--Widgets--Photos and videos. If the widget is showing up but it doesn't display pictures, then try clearing the cache and then reboot. Also check if you have installed any automated task killers.
