Xperia J update

Hello!

I'm trying to update my Xperia J through PC companion to the latest version 11.0.A.7.5.

PC companion found my phone and prepared to download updates, but through the download my phone shuts down and then PC companion program hangs and all stopped at all. I tried to update many times, but that repeated again and again.

What is the solution?

Try to use this instead:

Also try using another USB-port in your PC if you get the same problem with Update Service and firewall/antivirus disabled. Don't use a USB-hub but a USB-port on the actual computer.
If that doesn't help, could you try on another computer?

I get a very similar issue to this. I've tried it on two computers but had no luck. At the end of the preparing a message comes up on my phone saying Powering Off. Then the phone turns off. The update then starts but after a couple of minutes I get the message "Unable to update components on your computer" and "Sony Update Engine failure (error 100). In order to turn my phone back on I have to dissconnect it from the usb cable.

I've tried turning off my virus scanner and firewall and it made no difference.

I've also tried the update-service and it failed.

Hi guys,

I had the same issue on my Xperia T

Solved by removing the MicroSD card from the phone.
