Xperia Go update problem

hi , i am trying to update my Sony Xperia Go software but when using Sony Pc Companion i get everytime an error :Script Error  invalid character  . "do you want to continue running scripts on this page ? and no matter what i do nothing change .
can anyone help me

uninstall PCC > reinstall  it > restart your PC > disable your antivirus and firewall > run PCC and try again

also update JAVA
