Xperia Go , slows down after Android 4.1.2 software update

My phone is about 6 months old. I have recently downloaded the Android software update 4.1.2 (build number 6.2.A.1.100) , ever since this update I find my phone has became sluggish , especially during receiving a call . The phone screen shows the recieving call but the ring starts after 3-4 seconds  and I can't pick up the call till then. At times if I swipe the call answer button it hangs for some time. When I try to make call from the contact list it does not respond for a long time.

remove viber if you have. Viber is main culprit for phone lagginess during call pick or placing the call..

You could start your phone in safe mode to see if the problems you are experiencing may be caused by 3rd party apps that you have installed on your phone. Press and hold the power off option to get the phone to restart in safe mode.

If the problem still persists in safe mode you can try to update/repair the phone software using the program PC Companion:
