Title says all. I've been getting random lockups or resets whenever I leave the phone on standby, i.e. the menu or homescreen or some other application. The phone's bone-stock, as in just bought from the store and it hasn't been rooted or tampered on yet besides installing software from the Play Store.
I'm thinking of either sending the device back to Sony for repairs or doing a repair flash as what some users suggested, but does anyone here have an alternative fix?
try to reinstall the current firmware

Just flashed the phone using Update Centre, but still no dice. It still ends up hanging on standby.
I have the same problem even after updating the phone (Xperia GO). date of update [28-Oct-2013]
Phone works fine.....when its on and goes on sleep mode(back-light switches off and phone locks)
it takes me several attempts after pressing the powere button to resume it to the lock screen
