Xperia e4 touchscreen is not responding to touch

Hi, my Xperia e4 e2014 is not responding to any touch. Have done a software repair with Xperia Companion, and the phone is now stuck on language select screen, still not responding to touch. Cannot perform any of the hard resets as they all require screen input.Before the software repair the unit was receiving messages and calls, just couldnt be answered as the button wouldnt slide. All other functions appear ok, and it connected to Xperia companion and communicated normally. 

Is there any way to do a hardware reset without using the touch screen please?

Run XC on your computer > turn off your phone > follow the steps to repair it

Already done, which is why the phone is now stuck on the first screen of the initial restart, Language select. The screen still doesnt respond to touch. when i touch the screen the lcd "swins" in response, but does nothing
