Xperia E vibration problem

My Xperia E has all of a sudden started to vibrate constantly even when switched off, the only way I can get it to stop is to take the battery out, Is there any reason why it is doing this and what do people recommend?

Have you tried the things that has been mentioned in this thread? If not, give them a try to see if safe mode or a software repair in PC Companion can help.

I gave them a try (full reset, repair via Sony PC Companion) and the problem persists (here on a E1 [D2005]).

Do you have any further suggestions? I don't want to sent it to the Sony Service "for free" and risk the result "it's not our fault, we can eitehr repar it for X or sent it back to you for Y or recycle it".
