Hi,
I bought an unlocked Xperia E a few days ago (from bol.com).
I inserted my sim card and it all worked happily.
Today, I got the message : "no service"
However, using the sim card in another phone worked fine.
After some research, I think the problem is that my sim lock page shows this info:
[x] Network 0
[x] Network subnet 0
[x] Service provider 0
[x] Corporate 0
[x] SIM 0
So, it seems it is hardlocked.
I have no idea how this happened or how to fix it (without voiding the warranty)
Those 0s mean that your phone its not network branded but SIM free, now the problem I can think is that you have either a faulty SIM card or a way too old SIM card, just get a brand new SIM card, even if the SIM work with other phones just get a brand NEW one
Don't forget the Kudos
Thanks for the reply.
The SIM card is not that old and it did work for a day or two.
I also found somewhere that an unlocked phone should have [ ]'s instead of [x]'s.
I'll try it with other SIM cards.
open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. In your device, tap Service info >Configuration > Rooting Status . If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes then your phone is locked or if it says rootable: Yes or rooted:Yes
then ur device is unlocked
It says Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes
so it is indeed locked?
Still, I have no idea how it happened, it did work for two days.
Your phone its not locked, if you are allowed to unlock the bootloader that means that its SIM free or it has never been locked to a carrier/network
my xperia E i puchased yesterday at 4 pm,trying to get used to its mind boggerling workings ,and it just locked and all i can get on screen is a dial pad.canot get into my phone?
