Hi!
I have a Xperia Arc (LT15i, SI 1245-4552) and got the ICS upgrade to 4.0.4 via SEUS.
Since I updated, the phone randomly displays "SIM-Karte entfernt. Telefon muss neugestartet werden", which means: The SIM card has been removed. The Phone has to be rebooted. I'm using a german T-Mobile SIM card and the Arc has been working perfectly for over a year on GB 2.3.4. My SIM card still works fine with my Xperia Active (GB 2.3.4). I think this SIM error has something to do with weak signal strenght, because it happens more frequently if the signal is lost, comes back in and gets lost again. Then it happens about 10 times a day.
I tried a reset to factory defaults and installed ICS again via SEUS. -> Did not solve the problem. My girlfriend is using a T-Mobile SIM card with her Xperia ray and has no problems with her phone.
Maybe there are some issues with ICS for SI 1245-4552? What could I try else? My SIM is OK and my phone was OK up to ICS...

i have the same problem!! i have to restart my phone several times a day. sometimes it works sometimes the alert is shown.
is there a solution? i think it's not the sim card...because when the alert is shown, the sim card is working:
- i have to enter the pin code
- the IMEI is correct
- different broadcast companies are found
- but no connection!!!
thanks ulrich
Hi!
I tried my gf's SIM in my Arc and my SIM in her Ray. The Arc had no errors during my test and the Ray had one time the SIM removed error, but then worked fine.
Maybe ICS (my Arc after update and my gf's Ray) has a problem with my SIM and GB (my Arc before update and my Active) doesn't.
I will continue testing and report my results.
Was there a change in SIM to phone communication from GB to ICS?
Cheers Jan
//Update 17.06.2012:
I had the time to test the SIMs and phones for some additional hours and the result is now: My T-Mobile SIM that is working well with GB leads on ICS (with both arc and ray) to the restart error. The newer T-Mobile SIM (gf) has no problems on any phone (arc ICS, ray ICS or active GB). So the error is caused by my T-Mobile SIM from 2011 in comination with ICS.
