Xperia Arc S (LT18i) problem

Hey there Sony / Sony Ericcson users! I have a problem, a pretty big one. So last night I was browsing facebook when my phone froze, so I removed the battery and put it back in.

Then I tried to boot it again and I only get a half a second vibration then nothing happens. If I want to get that vibration again I need to remove and put the battery back on.

I have tried everything, all the keys combinations (I think), and trying to update the software with Sony's tool, it says its up to date .. please help me, I really want to get the phone fixed, any help would be very appreciated! Thanks a lot.

Dave.

There isn't an option to Install the current firmware? (bottom right of SUS)

Where is that exactly, what step, if I may ask

Install SUS > restart your PC > run SUS > turn off your phone > follow the steps > it will tell you that y ou have the latest update available > on the bottom right it should give you an option to install it

if that doesn't work you have 2 options

1) take it to a Sony repair center

or

2) use flashtool

How to manually update, downgrade, root 2011 Xperias

I hope yours is ICS, this happens because of low memory.

All you need to repair with SUS as mentioned by uliwooly .

Arc S has low memory in both case internal storage & ram, so always clear cache for big apps like facebook.

and move all possible apps to SD card. So you can use your phone smooth and with out lag.

I did use SUS but it says I have latest version and there is no button to install the current firmware.

I also flashed it and its the same thing ..

Any other solutions? I cant find any

Even if you have latest go ahead with repair.

If problem persist contact Sony service centre...
