Hi,
My Xperia Arc S was working normally, was at around 25% battery at the time when it turned off. This happened quite a lot recently and was easily resolved by turning the phone back on. This time however the phone would not do anything, no lights, no vibration. I put it on to charge, again no lights or any indication of charging. I have Installed PC companion and the update software and followed the repair and update instructions as recommended in other threads, however I could not continue with the repair as the software could not find the phone, PC can't find it either (I have had the phone on charge & I also bought a new battery incase my old one was defected in some way). Is there anything else that can be done?
thanks
Hi there,
Try to deactivate your firewall and antivirus protection when you are running the update/repair in PC Companion. Also try to connect the phone in another USB-port on your PC.
You can also try to update the phone using the program Update Service to see if the phone can be found by this program.

If the problem persists I recommend that you send your phone to service for repair. Please contact your local support for more information:
