Xperia Arc doesn't charge from wall socket, why?

When connected to PC it charges without any problem, however, when pluged to the wall socket it doesn't work (it doesn't matter if it's on or off, it won't charge).

I've tried all sort of things, first of all, using another charger. I've also changed the usb cable and the wall sockets, and again, it only works when charging from the PC.

I've also tried getting back to 2.3.3 with no result (of course I tried SUS and it didn't work either).

I'm beginning to think that it's a hardware problem, but I can't wonder /how/. I mean, how does the Xperia Arc know when it's charging through the PC or the Wall Socket?

So, any solutions? Or ideas for me to try?

This sounds very strange and I suggest that you have both charger and phone examined and fixed at a repair center. Contact your local support team for more info.
